Last week, AT&T announced its first quarter revenues, increasing 3.6% to a total of $32.5 billion. Additionally, revenues from residential customers rose 4.3% to $5.7 billion, representing the strongest growth since the company introduced U-Verse over eight years ago. U-Verse had 11.3 million customers in the first quarter, including 201,000 new TV customers, and its Internet service gained 634,000 subscribers.

GW Shaw, Vice President of U-Verse and Video Products at AT&T, will be one of the headlining keynotes at the 2014 CONNECTIONS Conference in San Francisco, May 13-15. His keynote, "Differentiating TV with Apps in a Competitive, Multi-Screen Market," will address pay-TV strategies to differentiate video services and engage consumers through interactivity, apps, and multiplatform offerings.

Other CONNECTIONS keynotes include executives from ARRIS, Cisco, iControl Networks, and Ericsson.
