According to Parks Associates research, nearly one-third of multifamily residents report having property Wi-Fi in at least part of their community.   These Wi-Fi hotspots allow residents and staff to access the internet from convenient locations, while also forming the foundation of smart building and IoT deployments.

Properties with Wi-Fi offer a wider assortment of amenities, including devices that connect to their property Wi-Fi networks.  Property-wide Wi-Fi serves as the backbone of modern smart buildings, enabling seamless connectivity for devices and facilitating the delivery of advanced services that enhance both operational efficiency and the resident or guest experience.

In-unit property-provided smart devices are nearly 5x more common among residents who receive property Wi-Fi; access control systems and intercoms are roughly twice as common.
