Parks Associates is pleased to highlight Jason Powers, a featured speaker at the 2025 Smart Spaces Conference, taking place September 16-17 in Dallas. The event will bring together multifamily leaders, technology innovators, and service providers to explore how connected solutions are transforming modern living spaces.
Jason Powers is the Vice President of Sales for North America at ADS-TEC Energy, a global leader in battery-buffered ultra-fast EV charging technology. With over a decade of experience driving innovation and revenue growth across energy, print, and technology sectors, Jason now leads ADS-TEC’s commercial expansion across the U.S. and Canada - with a focus on strategic partnerships in high-density urban developments, fleet electrification, and distributed energy infrastructure. Passionate about accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles, Jason works to make charging more accessible, efficient, and grid-friendly. Prior to joining ADS-TEC Energy, he held leadership roles at RISO Inc. and RJ Young, where he built and scaled high-performing sales teams. Based in Birmingham, Alabama, Jason collaborates closely with utilities, municipalities, and developers to build the EV charging ecosystems of tomorrow.
For Jason one of the most promising technology trends reshaping the multifamily industry is the growing importance of EV charging as a differentiator for residential communities. “One of the most promising technology trends we see transforming the multi-family industry is the integration of battery-buffered ultra-fast EV charging solutions directly into residential communities. As more tenants look to purchase and drive electric vehicles, access to reliable and convenient charging is quickly becoming a differentiator for multi-family properties.
Battery-buffered-based deployments make it possible to deliver high power charging in locations where the electrical grid would otherwise be constrained, without requiring massive infrastructure upgrades. This unlocks a premium amenity for residents while future-proofing the property and supporting sustainability goals, establishing an attractive perk for future residents.
Marina Palms in North Miami Beach, Florida is a great example of a multi-resident community leveraging the latest battery-buffered ultra-fast EV charging solutions. With 468 residences spread across two towers, Marina Palms is a thriving community with a growing demand for EV infrastructure.”
Jason also addressed some of the biggest challenges to scaling smart solutions across multifamily communities, citing grid limitations, space constraints, and stakeholder coordination. *“The biggest challenges to scaling smart solutions across multi-family communities are electrical grid limitations, space constraints and the complexity of coordinating with multiple stakeholders. Traditional ultra-fast charging often requires costly and lengthy grid upgrades stalling adoption.
To address these challenges, ADS-TEC Energy’s priority is delivering solutions that are scalable, compact and grid friendly. First among them are battery-buffered charging platforms, which can be implemented without extensive utility delays or large infrastructure footprints.
By pairing advanced technology with comprehensive service, remote monitoring and long-term reliability, we make it easier for multi-family communities to adopt smart solutions at scale, while keeping costs predictable and ensuring maximum uptime. ADS-TEC Energy’s battery-buffered system allows us to connect to the grid at 110kW while outputting at 320kW. With ultra-fast charging, we save space in the parking lot and keep residents’ EVs fully charged.”
Jason’s insights underscore the growing role of EV charging in shaping resident expectations, sustainability strategies, and long-term competitiveness for multifamily properties. His expertise reinforces one of the central themes of Smart Spaces 2025: future-ready communities depend on forward-thinking technology integration and scalable infrastructure.
