If you want a good primer on what RealNetworks will demonstrate Tuesday afternoon, check out their CES press release on Unifi (http://www.realnetworks.com/pressroom/releases/2011/realnetworks-previews-unifi-at-ces2011.aspx). This looks like Occam's Razor in action - why upload everything to the cloud when you can index it? Plus, inter-device and OS interoperability (play your iTunes library from the Android phone). If it's that seamless, it sounds like a good solution to me.
