45% of US internet households own a smart home device, with adoption flat year-over-year

Parks Associates today announced the preliminary speaker lineup for the 29th annual CONNECTIONS™: The Premier Connected Home Conference, May 13-15 at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel, featuring keynotes from Raymond James, Amazon Web Services, Vivint, and Wi-Fi Alliance. Parks Associates’ latest research shows adoption of smart home devices is flat, with 45% of households owning at least one of these devices.

“The smart home market saw slightly disappointing adoption and purchase data in 2024, coinciding with challenging economic and political news,” said Elizabeth Parks, President and CMO, Parks Associates. “Smart home players need to stay laser-focused on partnerships and their value proposition.”

  • Maureen Gallagher, VP of Marketing, Wi-Fi Alliance
