Executives from content and service providers and companies in entertainment, mobile communications, home management, and consumer electronics are traveling to Santa Clara this week for the 15th Annual CONNECTIONS™ Digital Living Conference & Showcase, hosted by Parks Associates on June 28-30. Media is invited to attend, including the networking reception on Wednesday, June 29, 6 p.m., to meet with Parks Associates analysts, sponsors, and other attendees.
Consumer interest in multiscreen services and flexible content is steadily increasing, with almost 30% of U.S. broadband households highly interested in an entertainment value-added service that includes the ability to watch TV programs on a computer. Cloud services are also valuable as security measures. Over 50% of U.S. consumers consider multiroom access to music and video content and guaranteed replacement of lost or damaged media to be equally important features of the digital locker.
IBM will hold a special session, “Smarter Home Unified by Cloud” at 1:30 PM
