According to a new Price Grabber survey, tablets are the Father's Day gift of choice when it comes to CE devices. Of those planning to buy their dads a CE device for Father's Day, 48% will make it a tablet, 23% will choose a smartphone, 20% will purchase a computer, 13% will buy a camera, and 12% will give him a TV.
However, CE products are behind other categories for Father’s Day gifts, including tools, auto accessories and appliances (41%); hobbies/sports (23%); and clothing/accessories (21%). Another 21% cited CE devices within the category of entertainment, which also includes music, video games and movies.
Of the 4,450 online respondents, 56% said they will buy their Father’s Day gift from online stores via their computers, while 36% plan to buy in brick-and-mortar stores. While only 2% plan to purchase gifts from an online store via a mobile device.
