Conference focuses on key smart home topics, including voice, consumer privacy, AI, and channel strategies
International IoT research firm Parks Associates today announced the speaker list for the 12th-annual CONNECTIONS™ Europe, 1-2 November 2017 at the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel. Speakers will discuss key strategies to drive EU consumer engagement in smart home and IoT solutions. The research firm notes sales of networked cameras in Germany will exceed two million units in 2020.
“The IoT and connected home markets in Europe are trending in a positive direction, but potential barriers still include low consumer familiarity, privacy concerns, high upfront costs, and unclear value propositions,” said Elizabeth Parks, SVP, Parks Associates. “Success requires rethinking of many traditional revenue, service models, and product categories. CONNECTIONS™ Europe speakers are the leaders in innovative thinking and design to drive these markets forward.”
“The most natural interface for people is voice, so it's only logical that we capitalize on voice throughout the smart home," said Tali Chen, CVP, Corporate Development and Chief Evangelist, DSP Group. "Smart homes will advance at a much faster pace with gateway voice devices, and users will have a much better experience given recent advances in technology and the proliferation of these IoT devices. We are thrilled to be driving this evolution with voice and ULE chipsets enabling the next generation of voice-enabled devices. CONNECTIONS™ Europe is the perfect event to showcase our expertise and leading presence in the smart home and IoT space.”
