Michel Arrede heads up the Marketing for Amdocs Connected Home solutions worldwide. This includes strategic aspects such as market analysis, competitive analysis and market positioning (competitive advantages), and operational aspects such as product, pricing, promotion and distribution.

Previously at jNetX (acquired by Amdocs in 2009 for $50M), Michel headed up the marketing operations (pricing and promotion) for jNetX Next Generation Intelligent Networks (NGIN) platform with involvement in strategic corporate functions including business analysis and market positioning.

Earlier at HP, Michel was responsible for product marketing for SDP based solutions. He managed and grew several software businesses in Europe and worldwide using direct and indirect go-to-market growth strategies. Prior to this Michel held various product management positions at Alcatel-Lucent and at Atos-Origin.

Leigh has worked in many fields of insurance including life and pensions, private healthcare and for the past 12 years general insurance, primarily personal lines. Cornel joined ARRIS in 2000 and has been nominated CTO EMEA at ARRIS following the acquisition of Motorola Home by ARRIS. In this role he is responsible for the technology direction in EMEA regions with focus on the Transition to all IP, Connecting to the Cloud and End-To-End Multiscreen. Cornel previously worked as VP Sales Engineering EMEA, leading a team of highly skilled systems engineers who analyzed customer needs and provided solutions and consultancy for network design and configuration to service providers across EMEA.

Prior to joining ARRIS, between 1997 and 2000, Cornel was Technical Director at Romania Data Systems and in this role was responsible for the engineering and build up of the Romania Data Systems network, the largest Internet Service Provider in Romania. Cornel has studied Mathematics & Computer Science at Bucharest University in Romania.  

Oliver Cockcroft Oliver Cockcroft, Product Architect, Ayla Networks

Oliver Cockcroft is Ayla’s product lead for platform level features, managing the development of large scale projects the affect multiple parts of the Ayla Platform.  Oliver is also responsible for developing Ayla Networks' relationships with members from cloud partners such as Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit. Oliver works closely with Ayla Networks' potential customers and clients to help define their connected product strategy and product development plans and then execute them on aggressive schedules.

Before joining Ayla, Oliver held numerous management roles at eBay over his ten years. He most recently was Senior Product Manager and the lead for eBay’s tablet websites, working on new designs and ideas relating to browser-based touch interactions and coordinating a team encompassing design, development and testing. Earlier, he managed eBay’s global websites for mobile and was product manager for eBay on Blackberry and lead mobile product manager for the launch of the Stubhub iPhone application.

Oliver holds numerous patents in mobile technology. He earned his BSc degree in computer science from the University of Hertfordshire (UK).

Charles is an authority in digital television product development and management, with over sixteen years of experience in helping bring entertainment content discovery and video delivery solutions to service providers and CE manufacturers across the globe. Marco has the responsibility for developing and deploying the Centralite International growth strategy. Shane founded Arrayent in 2005. He is passionately engaged in communicating Arrayent’s vision for connected products and working with Arrayent’s customers to ensure that Arrayent’s long-term strategy is aligned with long-term customer needs. Before Arrayent, Shane was the co-founder and CTO of Propellerhead Studios, Inc., a design studio that specialized in consumer electronics products for young adults. In 1998, Shane became CEO of ActivePhoto, Inc., which partnered with Polaroid and Sprint to deliver Internet-connected digital camera systems to large enterprises such as Allstate and Kemper Insurance long before digital photography became mainstream. Shane began his career as a researcher at Rockwell Science Center, where he developed new networking algorithms for low-power wireless systems. Later he became a VLSI design engineer at C-Cube Microsystems working on cable and satellite set-top box designs. Shane holds a B.S. in Computer Systems Engineering from Stanford University.

Over the past few years, he has been following the Connected Home market and its various domains very closely, analyzing the strategic impact on the traditional security market and go to market strategies.

Cees Links Cees Links, General Manager Low Power Wireless, Qorvo

Cees Links is a pioneer of the wireless data industry, under his responsibility, the first wireless LANs were developed, ultimately becoming household WiFi technology integrated into computers and smart phones. Cees Links was involved in the establishment of the IEEE 802.11 standardization committee and the WiFi Alliance. And, he was instrumental in establishing the IEEE 802.15 standardization committee to become the basis for the ZigBee sense and control networking. Cees Links was the Founder and CEO of GreenPeak Technologies, a Smart Home and IoT radio communications semi-conductor company, that was acquired by Qorvo. Since then, Cees has become the General Manager of the Low Power Wireless Business Unit in Qorvo.

Wojtek Makowski Wojtek Makowski, CTO, SoftAtHome

Wojtek is in charge of defining the company’s overall technological strategy and of driving its innovation and strategic product vision to further position SoftAtHome as an industry leader. He is also Deputy Chairman of the Technical Working Group for the Home Gateway Initiative, mainly focused on the Media Gateway and Smart Home projects. Wojtek has 20+ years experience in the IT industry where he has held various product development and leadership positions. He specializes in the telecom area focusing on Operational Support Systems, Location Based Services infrastructure, convergent pervasive applications and the Digital Home. He has a strong multi-cultural business background - having served for several companies in different European countries, including France, Poland and the United Kingdom. Wojtek started his career in 1990 in France as an IT Engineer developing a billing mediation solution for France Telecom. He then became the leading director of this multi-year project. Since the mid-1990s he founded or joined several start-up companies where he held positions of CTO, VP Engineering and CEO.

Wojtek holds an MSCS from Polytechnic School & IT Institute, Poland where he graduated top of this class.

Kevin Meagher Kevin Meagher, SVP Business Development, ROC-Connect

Kevin Meagher is the SVP Business Development for ROC Connect, a technology company offering an enterprise grade cloud platform to support the IoT and the deployment of smart home products and services.

Meagher is the former VP and General Manager of Lowe’s Smart Home initiative. He led Lowe’s IoT program, including the development of deployment of connected products and services through stores. Kevin founded Intamac Systems, a UK company offering a Cloud platform delivering smart home solutions to the mass consumer market through telecommunications companies and utilities.

Meagher has been recognized as a global pioneer and thought leader in the smart home and IoT. He has lectured on business management and published papers at national and international conferences. Additionally, he is the recipient of numerous awards including Ruban d’Honneur as European Entrepreneur of the Year, and his company won the European Best Business Innovation Award. He has 3 patents. He has also served as a Group Captain in the Royal Air Force.

Meagher is a Chartered Engineer in Aeronautics and holds an MBA from the Open University.  

Dr. Chris Mitchell Dr. Chris Mitchell, CEO and Founder, Audio Analytic

Dr Chris Mitchell is the CEO of Audio Analytic, which he founded in 2010. As well as the holder of multiple patents, Chris is an internationally published author, an associate lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University and an accomplished public speaker. Following the completion of his PhD in sound information systems and signal processing, Chris received a prestigious Kauffman/NCGE Fellowship to investigate the commercial implications of his research, which included attending Harvard Business School and a short spell with Cisco Systems in San Jose, USA. Audio Analytic was founded during his fellowship and Chris has gone on to guide the company through funding rounds and now spends his time setting the overall direction and strategy for the company.

Steve Moore Steve Moore, Director of Connected Home, Dixons Carphone

Steve trained as an architect, but has spent the last thirty years designing technology solutions for corproate clients as diverse as as Best Buy, Ford, Grosvenor, HP, Orange, Qatari Diar and Virgin Atlantic as well as private clients such as David Attenborough, Ron Dennis, Jeremy Irons and Mick Jagger. Steve is a director of Connected World Services, a division of Dixons Carphone, and is working on a number of projects in the connected world. He lives with his family in Sussex. Steve loves cooking and hates flying.

Gordon Padkin Gordon Padkin, Evangelist, Thread Group

Gordon Padkin represents the Thread Group and actively educates the EMEA region about the Thread networking protocol. Gordon is also responsible for regional marketing, microcontrollers at NXP Semiconductor. He has an extensive career in the semiconductor industry, beginning in 1996 when he worked for Motorola SPS as it evolved to become Freescale Semiconductor through its recent merge with NXP Semiconductors at the end of 2015.

Jean-Marc Prunet Jean-Marc Prunet, CEO, Myfox

In 2009, Jean-Marc Prunet stepped up to take over management of the Myfox home security company. He has since called on his ambitious spirit and business experience to grow the company as a leader in the smart home market through milestones such as being the first mobile device controlled security system in Europe. Before Myfox, Jean-Marc held roles in finance and investments at Rothschild & Co. and Eurazeo before co-founding Fondations Capital, an investment fund specializing in growth SMEs. Jean-Marc graduated from the ESSEC business school and holds a Masters in Business Law. Why home security? Jean-Marc has an insatiable desire to solve complicated problems with simple solutions. Tobin Richardson Tobin Richardson, President & CEO, ZigBee Alliance

Tobin J. M. Richardson serves as President and CEO of the ZigBee Alliance, leading the Alliance’s efforts to develop and promote world-leading open, global IoT standards. In this role, he works closely with the Alliance Board of Directors to set strategy and to advance the adoption of ZigBee standards around the globe.

Tobin has two decades of experience in strategic leadership and marketing for technology firms and organizations. His experience spans large-scale technology implementations, new service and product rollouts, and transformational change in Fortune 500 companies and world-leading organizations. He currently serves in a number of industry leadership roles, including Co-Chair of NAESB's Energy Usage Information standard committee, and participates actively on NEMA's Smart Grid Task Force and the CEA's Smart Grid Working Group. He holds a Master’s degree from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis.

Thomas Rockmann, Deutsche Telekom AG Thomas Rockmann, born in 1971, is Vice President of Connected Home since November 2015. Rockmann has been with Deutsche Telekom AG since 2000, first in the Group’s Innovation Management division, then from 2003 to 2010 in the Landline division, where in addition to his work as Quality Manager Marketing and Sales he was head of a number of strategy and marketing departments. From 2010 to 2015 he was in charge of Consumer Segment Strategy, Roadmap Planning, Central IP Migration Management, and developing Smart Home business at Telekom Deutschland. Thomas Rockmann studied geophysics at the University of Münster. He began his career in Transactions and Services at Deutsche Bank AG in Frankfurt.

D’Arcy Rossiter is Head of Insight at Centrica Connected Home, the developer of the HIVE brand of smart home products and services. At Connected Home, D’Arcy is responsible for all consumer insight, market intelligence and analysis across product, brand and customer experience.

Prior to joining Connected Home in February 2014, D’Arcy worked in strategy and insight roles in the telecoms, media and technology space for companies such as AOL, TalkTalk, Sky and IBM.

D’Arcy was born and raised in Canada and has been living in London since 2001.  He has an undergraduate degree in business from the University of Prince Edward Island and an MBA from Dalhousie University.

Omer Sagi Omer Sagi, Division Director of Business Development of Smart Door Locks EMEA, Assa Abloy

Omer Sagi is Assa Abloy EMEA Division Director of Business Development of Smart Door Locks. Omer is responsible on managing the development of Smart Door Lock sales in EMEA and supporting market penetration through Assa Abloy EMEA regional sales organizations. He is also responsible for developing and implementing the strategic growth plan for the business in EMEA.

Omer joined Assa Abloy in 2012 as Director Product Marketing Smart Door Locks for EMEA. Curt has spent over 25 years in the Silicon Valley high tech community, having held a number of senior positions in sales, marketing, and business development, including VP of Worldwide Marketing at Wind River (Intel), Executive VP of Field Operations at Real-Time Innovations, and VP of Sales at Arrayent. He co-founded and served as CEO of Embedded Solution Partners, which was named the 20th fastest growing private company in Silicon Valley in 2006. Curt has spoken and served as a panelist at numerous events around the world, offering education and insight into leading edge embedded and communications software topics. He is a strong advocate for advancement of Web- connected products. Curt began his career developing flight software for the NASA Hubble Space Telescope. He was instrumental in transforming the company from a promising start-up with innovative technology to a full-fledged market leader with a global roster of clients and partners. In 2015 Daniel managed the trade sale of ProSyst to Bosch. Prior to ProSyst, Daniel founded and acted as Managing Director of a Cologne, Germany-based marketing firm.
