Joined sfty [safety] in 2013 as COO.

He is focused on driving growth of the Sfty MDU (Multi dwelling Unit) concept internationally – and adapting it locally to relevant rules and regulations.  Espen oversees all related operational and distribution, including the partner program.

Sfty  offer companies within insurance, broadband and utilities a unique plug and play safety concept, and enables them to enter an additional vertical and sell bundled together with existing products to decrease churn.  They introduce IoT to Building Safety/Building Management, to let owners keep an eye on the status of their property by apartment and zone. Sfty entered the building safety industry by challenging the existing and taking the position and use IoT to position the company as an Ecosystem Aggregator. For residents in a building, sfty introduced a social safety network for alarm and mission critical communication/information, distributed as a free app. This system and app is also a residents or tenants entry into the smart home.

With a disruptive price model they challenge the existing prices and services of the classical "safety" companies.

Prior to his current role, Espen was CEO of Skiinfo.com, a SaaS company sold to Vail Corporation, and before this he was Director of International sales for Oakley Sunglasses, travelling the world and setting up the distribution based out of the headquarters in California, and the European office in Paris.

After 13 years abroad, he now lives in Oslo, Norway where the Sfty AS headquarter is located.
