Parks Associates continues its twenty-sixth annual CONNECTIONS™ with our in-person conference in Frisco, Texas on May 17-19. Nick Millette, Product Development Merchant, Smart Home and Home/Mobile Electronics at Home Depot will be featured on the panel, Health and Wellness Solutions: Expanding the Market, on May 19 at 8:30 AM CT, addressing drivers for purchasing, the role of installation and support, and where growth is expected in the future. Prior to the session, Nick provided insights on how consumer insights have changed after the pandemic.
How do consumers view technology now versus before the pandemic?
As a result of the pandemic, consumers view technology as a more natural, integrated part of daily life and expect for that technology to be simpler and more reliable than ever before. The Pandemic has also caused consumers to become increasingly comfortable with integrating technology into their homes and daily lives, which has expedited the adoption of connected home devices by the mass consumer market. Therefore, consumers now expect, if not require, things like - the process of getting connected home devices set up on their home networks to be simple, fast, and reliable.
