Uber Partners with American Logistics Company to Continue Expansion into Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Services

As leading companies in the ride share space continue to look for ways to invest in the non-emergency medical transportation market, Uber recently announced a partnership between its healthcare business and American Logistics Company, a transportation management company based in California. This is Uber’s first national collaboration with a healthcare transportation management company.

Healthcare plans and organizations can now provide smarter patient pickup and drop off, scheduling, real-time GPS tracking, and messaging through one unified platform, American Logistics Company said in a statement.

The partnership will also improve the health outcomes of millions of patients, according to Uber.

"By partnering with a best-in-class broker like American Logistics, we're looking to deepen how Uber Heath can drive value for healthcare providers, payors and improve health outcomes for millions of patients," said Dan Trigub, Head of Uber Health. "American Logistics' unique integration with Uber's world-class API creates a single-platform solution that, coupled with our dedicated team of healthcare professionals, will drive significant value."

Trigub will further address how technology can improve health outcomes for patients at the sixth-annual Connected Health Summit: Independent Living and Wellness, August 27-29, in San Diego. Trigub will speak on the panel, “Role of Technology: Serving Social and Medical Needs,” at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28th. The session explores the role of connected technology and services for consumers in understanding and achieving their health and wellness goals and for providers in delivering critical new information to better care for their patients.

Joining Trigub on the panel:

  • James Dold, VP Strategy East, Lumeris
  • Lainie Muller, Director, Health & Wellness, Alarm.com
  • Roy Raymann, PhD, VP, Sleep Science & Scientific Affairs, SleepScore Labs
  • George Valentine, Executive Director, New Growth and Development, Cox Communications, Inc.
