Checking the Residential Pulse

The list of notables focusing on the residential market goes on and on, including IBM, Microsoft, Residential Cabling System, Lutron, Panja, Sony, FutureSmart Networks, and of course, TEA/EIA with the 570A and 600 (CEBus) suite of standards.   Associations such as CABA and CEDIA are at the leading edge of this monumental ground swell, as is Parks Associates, a Dallas-based firm that has long recognized the potential of the home market. A two-day event "CONNECTIONS 2000 - Advancing the Networked Home" will be hosted in San Diego, May 3-5, 2000, at the Sheraton, Harbor Island.
