Sony has announced the release of a new 65-inch curved screen HDTV that produces richer 3-D video, a wider viewing angle, and the proper curvature for the set to make TV watching more natural.
This isn’t the only new TV technology to hit the market. The OLED (organic light-emitting diode) displays have been coveted for years because the super-thin displays reproduce super-saturated colors, ultra-distinct blacks and whites and virtually no motion blur.
However, according to Sony, consumers prefer the curved HDTV because it is designed to provide more immersion, and makes viewers feel like they are in the center of the action. This is also incorporated its sound system through multi-angle surround sound array of eight speakers.
