Connected home industry leaders address impact of connected CE, new business models, tech support, and mobile marketing strategies
Parks Associates today announced the preliminary list of speakers for the 16th annual CONNECTIONS™: The Digital Living Conference and Showcase, co-located with TIA 2012: Inside the Network, June 5-7 at the Gaylord Texan, Dallas, Texas. Executives from AT&T Digital Life, AT&T Services and Verizon will present keynotes at CONNECTIONS™, addressing the impact of multiscreen convergence and second-screen services on the service provider market.
According to Parks Associates, North American consumers will buy 110 million smartphones and 32 million media tablets in 2012, and the amount of video they are consuming on these platforms is rapidly increasing.
“The average U.S. broadband user watches 36 minutes of video on a tablet and 102 minutes of video on a mobile phone every week," said Stuart Sikes, president, Parks Associates. "As consumers adopt multiple connected platforms, opportunities to build new business around multiscreen content distribution, value-added services like tech support, and advanced advertising are vast. CONNECTIONS™ clarifies the roles of various players within the converging connected consumer ecosystem.”
At CONNECTIONS™, Parks Associates’ leading analysts moderate all sessions. The analysts, joined by 100+ speakers, will present new consumer research and industry trends about emerging business models and opportunities in digital content, mobile applications and services, connected consumer electronics, broadband and value-added services, and home systems.
