The free application from People Power, Presence 1.2, which turns iOS devices into WiFi or cellular-connected video cameras, supports home energy management capabilities with Monster Central products. Through Presence, users can control and monitor electrical use and understand the energy costs of devices. This gives Presences users the unique ability to control and monitor their power use remotely, and establish a home power use schedule.
To set up Monster Central products with Presence, simply connect the Monster Central Gateway to a home router using an Ethernet cable. Then, scan the QR code on each Monster plug with an iPhone or iPad to pair it to a Presence account, and plug it into a wall outlet. Now, the energy consumption of anything plugged in can be monitored from your smartphone, and Presence can turn the device on or off manually or according to a schedule.
Combined with People Power's open IOEplatform, Monster Central Power Control plugs are the first consumer-grade smart plugs to offer Open APIs, giving developers and integrators the tools needed to build apps, algorithms, analytics, access their data, and take full control of electrical power. The IOEplatform UXpect technology is the easiest to use rules engine for the connected home.
Presence-enabled Monster Central Power Control plugs are available in the in-app Presence Store and support the 110V North American market. The Presence Store also features two Presence-controlled robotic stands – Galileo for iPhones from Motrr, and KUBI for iPads from Revolve Robotics. The Presence Store features products that enhance the Presence experience and is accessible at presencepro.com/store.
