Due to at least thirty previouisly installed Sensus meters overheating and catching fire, PECO, a company committed to their customers, the community and the environment, recently underwent an internal investigation on the smart meters. Conclusions of the investigation rendered that it is safe to resume meter installations, using Landis+Gyr meters. Landis+Gyr helps utilities manage energy better.
PECO has taken the necessary measures to correct these faulty smart meters and will continue to monitor and test its meters for safety compliance.
