At last week's Cable Show in Chicago, I sat in on a panel that discussed the growth of CDNs around the world. One panelist stated that there were over 25 active CDN deployments among operators around the world and that spending on CDNs would exceed $3B worldwide by 2014. So my question - how big does an operator need to be in order for a CDN to make sense? Also, how many operators in the world will ultimately have CDNs?
