Monster, a leader in power conditioning and surge protection, has a new application. The Power App allows users to manage the power consumption and settings of their home appliances from their Smartphone. The app, created by People Power, is an innovative open source management cloud services and application provider. The Monster Power App can also provide useful information in a easy to read format, and allows users to track power usage by device over extended periods of time. Another key feature of the new app is the ability to schedule control of all connected devices. For example, TVs, set top boxes and other home entertainment components are especially prone to energy drains in which they consumer power 24 hours a day while in the standby mode or even switched off. With the Monster App, users can schedule a home entertainment center to turn off every night, then on again in the morning.
