Parks Associates hosts leading digital-home executives today at the seventh-annual CONNECTIONS™ Summit in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), 2nd floor, Rooms S204-205 at 2013 International CES. The summit features interactive panel sessions focused on service provider strategies, monetization opportunities for connected devices and smart TVs, digital content for multiple platforms, and value-added services. A networking reception, sponsored by Lowe’s, follows the Summit sessions.
The research firm also released the whitepaper “Trends, Technologies, and Ecosystems: Evolution of the Digital Home” at CES, which analyzes key trends in the digital home.
Parks Associates' research shows 20% of U.S. broadband households own at least three of the four app-based devices, including a smartphone, tablet, smart TV, and game console. Video viewing on tablets is already six hours per week, and with tablet penetration reaching 66% of U.S. broadband households in 2013, consumers will continue to change their digital habits and consumption patterns. CONNECTIONS™ Summit is an essential event at CES where connected-home companies discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the industry.”
