Jinni announces "Watch Together" - a feature that enables its recommendation engine to track the preferences of two viewers and create recommendations on what the two are likely to enjoy together. The feature is now available for use by Jinni's customers and its technology partners. Based on profiles Jinni has created for each user, the system is able to suggest shows and movies that families or groups of friends friends would likely want to watch together.
"Watch Together" also enables its users to find a group of friends for group movie watching. The social discovery feature, for example, allows a person to scan his or her Facebook friends and recommends those who are likely to enjoy a particular film.
