Itron, Inc. recently today that it was presented with the Smart Technology Innovation Award 2011 on October 24th in Dubai, UAE at the Smart Energy Middle East conference. The award recognizes Itron’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the Middle East region.
A key challenge utilities in the Middle East are facing is how to ensure efficient use of limited resources. The Smart Energy Middle East conference provided an opportunity for current and future industry leaders to develop an understanding of how smart meters and technologies can impact and revolutionize the utility sector in the Middle East. It was the ideal platform for Itron to showcase its innovative smart solutions, particularly in the field of electricity, gas and water solutions conservation.
This is the second time in three years that Itron has received the Smart Technology Innovation Award. This recognition reflects Itron’s continuous commitment to providing next-generation resource management solutions.
