Idaho Falls Power has chosen Elster's EnergyAxis Smart Grid solution as a key element to its Advance Metering Infrastructure (AMI) project. This project will enable energy conservation for the utility and its customers.
EnergyAxis will automate smart meter data collection for Idaho Falls Power's electric customers, which will enable faster demand response, and improve load control and voltage conservation. A future anticipated development for the utility's customers will come in the form of flexible payment options and increased visibility into energy usage via an online portal.
