AT&T has announced that it will launch its service Digital Life in five new markets: San Antonio, Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, and Portland. With the launch, AT&T will now have Digital Life available in 27 markets, with plans for the number to rise to 50 by the end of 2013.
AT&T's Digital Life provides 24/7 professional monitoring system alerts the proper authorities in the case of an emergency. The system allows customers to control their home security from smartphones, tablets, or PCs. Customers can use their existing home broadband provider, and any wireless phone service, to manage their home security.
Beginning immediately after the announcement, customers in the five new markets are now able to receive a live demo and purchase AT&T Digital Life in company owned retail stores. They can choose from two base plans: Simple Security, the basic home security package; or Smart Security which includes enhanced features and the ability to add home automation.
