With younger consumers showing a preference for non-linear viewing, OTT providers have stepped in to fill the viewer need for premium content on an on-demand basis. OTT video services are becoming a more important source of consumer video content, but OTT services have not replaced pay-TV services as Parks Associates research shows approximately 90% of OTT subscribers also subscribe to a pay-TV service. As cord-cutting has failed to become a force thus far, the session will explore how OTT services fit into a pay-TV consumer world.
