Parks Associates: Verizon to Present at TIA 2012

Parks Associates announced Maitreyi Krishnaswamy, Director, Video Services Product Development and Management, Verizon, is participating as a speaker at the upcoming Connections at TIA, June 5-7 at the Gaylord Texan.

Parks Associates reported that Krishnaswamy will participate in the session "The Next Steps in TV Everywhere," Tuesday, June 5, 4 P.M.

According to Parks Associates research, approximately one-third of U.S. broadband households now watch Internet video on a TV or PC, and approximately 25 percent view it on tablets and mobile devices. The interactive panel session, moderated by Brett Sappington, Director, Research, Parks Associates, examines the near future for TV Everywhere services and what obstacles must be overcome to reach their potential.

"Over 85 percent of pay-TV customers in North America now have access to TV Everywhere, thanks to efforts of service providers such as Verizon," said Stuart Sikes, President, Parks Associates. "Verizon has been a leader in TV Everywhere, developing mobile and smart TV apps, place-shifting solutions, and multidevice options that include Xbox 360. Verizon will provide valuable insight to the Connections audience about the challenges in deploying and marketing these solutions to the connected consumer." Verizon is also a sponsor of Connections and will be featured in the Connected Home Pavilion, an area within the TIA 2012 Exhibit Hall featuring new products and services for the connected consumer.
