CONNECTIONS(TM) Summit at CES Addresses Challenges, Opportunities as Connected Consumer Electronics Take Center Stage

RedOrbitParks Associates today announced the Call For Papers for its upcoming CONNECTIONS(TM) Summit at CES, taking place January 7, 2010, in Las Vegas, NV. The international research firm, which forecasts unit sales and installations of connected consumer electronics worldwide will exceed 100 million units annually by 2013, will host the Summit during the first day of 2010 International CES.

"The growth in digital services has implications for both consumer electronics manufacturers and service providers," said Kurt Scherf, vice president, principal analyst, Parks Associates. "In the U.S., more than 20% of consumers find connected set-top boxes enabling whole-home and PC-to-TV content services highly appealing, while more than one-third express interest in connected TVs and Blu-ray players that can deliver enhanced video-on-demand services."
