CONNECTIONS(TM) Europe to Discuss Implications, Strategies as Digital TV Subscribers to Exceed 650 Million Worldwide by 2013

RedOrbitParks Associates today announced the topics for CONNECTIONS(TM) Europe Summit, taking place November 4, 2009, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Summit, hosted by international research firm Parks Associates, features executive insight and worldwide consumer and industry research for broadband and value-added services, connected CE, digital content, and IPTV.

"Over 650 million households worldwide will have digital television service by 2013," said Kurt Scherf, vice president, principal analyst, Parks Associates. "The population of online video viewers is 44% higher in Western Europe than in the U.S., so European service providers and CE companies will be particularly active in deploying converged services that blend interactive features with traditional entertainment and communication applications."

"CONNECTIONS(TM) Europe sessions feature top-level executives and research from Parks Associates' international studies," Scherf said. "We will analyze the business and marketing strategies necessary to succeed as consumers grow more cautious about spending while also demanding more connectivity from the products and services in their homes."
