F-Secure Hosts Media Cloud Session at CONNECTIONS(TM): The Digital Living Conference & Showcase at TIA 2012

The interactive panel session, hosted by F-Secure and moderated by Kurt Scherf, VP, Principal Analyst, Parks Associates, examines the business models and use cases emerging from cloud media and personal storage services, including the factors that will entice consumers to shift from tangible media to formats based in the Internet. Research from Parks Associates indicates one-third of U.S. broadband households streamed a TV show in the past 30 days. Over the past year, their amount of time spent watching video has doubled for tablets and computers and has almost tripled for mobile phones.

CONNECTIONS(TM) focuses on innovative solutions for the connected consumer and leading strategies to monetize digital content, mobile applications and services, value-added services, connected consumer electronics, and home systems. The conference features research sessions on OTT video, mobile and product apps, connected CE, and the connected home.

"Security is an important factor in moving consumers to the cloud," said Stuart Sikes, President, Parks Associates. "Our research shows consumers are not ready to fully embrace cloud copies of media, and to convince them otherwise, the industry has to assure their content will be secured and protected. F-Secure is a leader in this area and will bring valuable insight to CONNECTIONS(TM)."
