Allegro Software to speak on Interoperability and the Connected Home at CONNECTIONS™: The Premier Connected Home Conference & Showcase

Allegro Software will be participating as a speaker at the CONNECTIONS™ Conference, co-located at CTIA, May 20-May 23 in Las Vegas. Allegro will participate in the session Interoperability Inside the Connected Home: Realizing a Seamless Experience on Tuesday, May 21st at 2 PM.

The interactive panel session, moderated by Tom Kerber, Director, Research, Home Controls & Energy, at Parks Associates examines efforts to simplify device installation and the challenges to interoperability as the number of available products increase.

Parks Associates research finds that global unit sales of connected CE, including smart TVs, connected Blu-ray players, connected game consoles, media tablets, and digital video media receivers, will grow from approximately 247 million in 2012 to nearly 734 million by 2017.

“Parks Associates research and the CONNECTIONS Conference always provide valuable insight into the M2M and Connected Home markets for Allegro Software,” said Bob Van Andel, President of Allegro Software. “The Connected Home has an increasing array of standards based communication technologies. Allegro will specifically discuss common architectures used to build interoperability, address data security and enable embedded device management during the panel session.”

CONNECTIONS™, hosted by research firm Parks Associates, focuses on emerging technologies, monetization strategies, and content distribution for connected CE and connected home services. The executive conference includes keynotes from AT&T, Starz, and Samsung and sessions featuring executives focused on emerging technologies, products, and services for the connected home and mobile industry. CONNECTIONS™ also features the Connected Home Pavilion on the CTIA show floor, with demos from solution providers for the digital home.

“The future of the connected home is, in large part, mobile, and the co-location of CTIA and CONNECTIONS™ offers a unique opportunity to analyze the growing role of mobile solutions in the connected home,” said Stuart Sikes, President, Parks Associates. “We look forward to providing insights from over 100 speakers, including strategic recommendations on new business models and technology developments in the connected home.”

Allegro Software is a sponsor of CONNECTIONS and will be featured in the Connected Home Pavilion, an area within the CTIA 2013 Exhibit Hall featuring new products and services for the connected consumer.
