Samsung, Starz, AT&T, and Parks Associates to Keynote CONNECTIONS: The Premier Connected Home Conference

Keynotes at the upcoming CONNECTIONS(TM) conference will focus on IP home management and security services, smart devices and multiscreen experiences, and premier digital content for mobile devices, with presentations from Samsung, Starz, AT&T, and Parks Associates.

CONNECTIONS(TM), hosted by Parks Associates and co-located with CTIA on May 20-23 in Las Vegas, features consumer research and market strategies to monetize digital content, mobile applications and services, value-added services, connected consumer electronics, and home systems. He will highlight efforts such as AT&T Digital Life, which is bringing fully integrated personalized home security and automation service into this market.

Tricia Parks, CEO, Parks Associates, will present "Emerging Markets for IP Home Management," May 21, 12:15 p.m. Parks will present research and emerging market strategies for value-added services, including IP home management, security, and energy management. Parks Associates research finds 40% of U.S. broadband households consider security services as part of their ideal service bundle, while 33% hold the same value for home management services.

Jonathan Kim, VP, Content & Services, Samsung Media Solutions Center (MSCA), Samsung, will present "Adding Value to the Device Ecosystem through Content & Services," May 21, 1:30 p.m. Kim will discuss the success of "smart" devices and the challenge of tying all these devices together to create a seamless user experience. He will share in sights on Samsung's approach to building value across their device ecosystem through innovative content services.

John Penney, EVP, Strategy, Business Development, & Worldwide Distribution, Starz, will present "Thoughts from the Dream Factory: Opportunities and Issues with High-Value Entertainment Content on Mobile Devices," May 22, 2:15 p.m. Penney will highlight the business models, global opportunities, and constraints to supplying first-run TV and movie content to mobile devices.
