20% US broadband homes to buy smart devices within a year

A survey released by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and Parks Associates shows continued strong growth of smart home products in US homes, as 20 per cent of households with broadband intend to acquire one or more smart home devices within the next year. According to the study, nearly half (48 per cent) of those surveyed who own a smart home device are under 35-years-old.

“It makes sense that early adopters of smart home devices tend to be younger, have a high-tech affinity and are four-times as likely to buy new technology as soon as it is available.”
