NBC’s video service Peacock stresses ‘free,’ looks to 2021

HBO Max did not reply to a question about its subscriber count since launch. Its owner, AT&T, reports financial results next Thursday. HBO Max’s debut was “rocky at best,” said Parks Associates analyst Jennifer Kent in an email, because of confusion over the various WarnerMedia HBO apps — Go, Now, Max — and tension with Roku and Amazon.
