Alarm.com IPO: How Many Home Automation Customers vs. Icontrol?

Alarm.com does not have 50 percent more subscribers than Icontrol. (UPDATE: Noted research firm Parks Associates, which contributed some data to the Alarm.com reports, believes the 50% figure to be accurate as of October 2014, the time-frame noted in the S-1. See comment below.)

ADT, currently Icontrol’s largest customer, has announced 1.2 million subscribers for its Icontrol-powered Pulse home automation service.

Meanwhile, Comcast recently announced at the Connections 2015 conference that it has about 500,000 subscribers to the Icontrol-powered Xfinity Home interactive service. I heard it with my own ears.

That brings the total number of customers to at least 1.7 million.
