34% of US broadband homes have smart TV

According to new research from Parks Associates, smart TV adoption increased by 31% in one year so that now over one-third of US broadband households have a smart TV.

Parks Associates analysts report that over 70% of smart TV owners have the device connected to the internet.

Also, nearly two-thirds of people shopping for a flat-panel TV this year plan to buy a smart TV. These trends show the smart TV has a significant role in the connected home and is a key device to extend new services and experiences to consumers.
