Is Siri Not Feeling the Love?

When Apple first introduced Siri, it was touted as a digital assistant that could tackle any number of tasks upon comand. A new Parks Associates report shows that most Siri users are only using it for very simple tasks like making phone calls or sending texts.

The consumer report from Parks Associates shows that most iPhone 4S users use Siri at least once per month, but that only about one-third of people are using Siri's features such as playing music or scheduling appointments. People tend to use basic tasks like making calls, sending an email, or texting while driving rather than using Siri's full capabilities.

The lack of using Siri's full features may be due to consumer frustration. The most common complaint users had with Siri is that it doesn't understand the user, or that it comes out garbled. However, with a satisfaction rate of 55%, users are overal content and hopeful for Siri and Apple's future. Many users indicated their interest in maybe one day find that Apple had instegrated a TV remote-type functionality through this Siri voice-command feature.
