Mr. Kirton co-founded Buckhead Investment Partners in 1996 and since inception Buckhead has served as the general partner on the development of 4,000 multifamily units in multiple communities in Texas. From 1995 to 1997, he served as Manager of Commercial Lending for Main Street Mortgage, a subsidiary of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in St. Petersburg, FL. Prior to joining Main Street, he served as President of Funding Incorporated for seven years and operated its San Antonio, TX office. He is former Executive V.P. of Citadel Mortgage Co. (San Antonio, TX), one of the nation’s first FHA-approved multifamily co-insurers and Fannie Mae DUS lenders. As a result of this experience Mr. Kirton has an extensive knowledge of multifamily lending, financial operations, development and management. He is a regular guest lecturer at Rice University. Prior to joining Main Street, he served as President of Funding Incorporated for seven years and operated its San Antonio, TX office. He is former Executive V.P. of Citadel Mortgage Co. (San Antonio, TX), one of the nation’s first FHA-approved multifamily co-insurers and Fannie Mae DUS lenders.
