Carolyn Ferreira is the Head of Customer Acquisition at Philo. Ms. Ferreira continues to drive 300% year over year growth at Philo. Under
Ferreira’s stewardship, Philo is now the “fastest-growing live television streaming service” in the first half of 2020, and has surpassed AT&T Now to become the fourth overall largest.  Her team manages marketing strategies and budgets across digital, direct mail and connected TV.
 
After graduating with an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, Ferreira led product and marketing teams to a successful acquisition exit by Centro. She also spent years working for social media giants Facebook and LinkedIn. At LinkedIn, she consulted more than 60 marketing teams on B2B marketing strategies and was awarded LinkedIn's Data Driven Storyteller award for North and South America. At Facebook, she led a full-funnel marketing team to improve performance by more than 400%, scaled annual marketing budgets from $17M to $50 million, and delivered performance 8x Facebook benchmarks. Prior to joining Philo, she served as Head of Growth Marketing at Aura, where she was the first marketing hire and grew the company to be the #6 overall app in the Health and Fitness space.


Chris Hall Chris Hall, SVP of Product, XUMO

Chris Hall is the senior vice president of product at XUMO, the premium, free ad-supported television service (FAST). In his role, Chris leads the product strategy and development of XUMO’s core streaming media technologies as the services are integrated into a suite of connected devices (such as smart TVs and set-top-boxes) and free-to-download, consumer-facing applications (for platforms including Android, iOS and Roku). 
 
Chris brings 11 years of diverse media experience to his role at XUMO, culled from his past working at the National Football League and Red Bull Media House. Starting his career in live and remote television production for NFL Network, Chris quickly learned what it takes to make quality, engaging content and translate that into a sustainable audience. After subsequent roles with the NFL, Chris was selected as the product lead for an all-new, cross-platform personalized OTT video service entitled NFL Now, where he co-authored a patent for a personalization algorithm relating to video delivery.
 
Following the successful launch and growth of NFL Now in its first year, Chris took an opportunity with Red Bull Media House in Santa Monica, CA to lead connected device Product Development for the re-launch of Red Bull TV. In just over a year, Chris took over all design and development for the entirety of Red Bull TVs platform footprint (13+ different operating systems). Chris was instrumental in the user experience definition, product development, quality assurance testing, submission processing and marketing and partnership strategy for all platforms where Red Bull TV was available.

In recent years, Shepela has been instrumental in extending Fandango’s home entertainment business by way of acquiring Vudu and the ticketing business by adding hundreds of new exhibitors and expanding the company’s global screen count to more than 40,000.  He also directs the services groups that manage the day-to-day support for both customers and exhibitors.  
 
During his tenure at Fandango, Shepela also led business development and helped expand the company’s commerce distribution, powering online movie ticketing for partners including Yahoo! Movies, AOL, Moviefone, IMDB, and MSN Entertainment. He also oversaw and matured Fandango’s gift card business, selling gift cards online and at more than 77,000 retail outlets nationwide.  
 
Before joining Fandango, Shepela led business development initiatives across a number of the former Comcast Interactive Media (CIM) properties; most notably, Comcast Digital Entertainment and DailyCandy.  Prior to CIM, he was Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at retail digital ad network RippleTV, focusing on retail distribution and strategic partnerships.  Shepela has also held business development roles at Yahoo!
