In April 2015, Parks Associates revealed “smart home controller penetration was only 7.8 percent of U.S. households in 2014.” Alarm.com believes that this presents a large opportunity to gain market share driven largely by the mass market adoption of connected home solutions as more households look to upgrade. Young Buyers Prefer 'Smart Homes' With New Technologies

Parks Associates, a market research company, stated early this month that that 43 percent of the U.S. broadband households would want a smart home package which includes automation systems for home management, safety or security features. It said that the smart home market is booming.

Number of Gamers Doubles in Three Years Thanks to Casual Gaming on Tablets and Smartphones
