Home Computer Evolving Into Hub for Multimedia

"A growing number of consumers are using the home computer for media personalization, creativity, storage, and sharing," said Kurt Scherf, vice president and principal analyst at Parks Associates. "Although sales to date of 'Media-PCs' incorporating Microsoft and other software solutions have been slower to date than previously expected, home computer and software developers have before them a significant opportunity to sell solutions based on personalized and customized media experiences for end users."
