Smart home device adoption highest among 25-34 households

Ten Percent Of Spanish Broadband Households Own A Smartwatch

Parks Associates analysts say that mobile devices are becoming the de facto controllers for home automation, with apps as the critical interface between the user and the home. For example, nearly 50% of U.S. broadband households with a smart garage door opener use a smartphone, tablet, or computer to control the opener almost every day.

Over 10% Of U.S. Households Have A Smart Home Product

In a survey of smart home use cases, the Parks Associates (www.parksassociates.com) research group found that over 40% of U.S. broadband households are interested in the ability to receive medical alerts via a smartphone or other connected platform. And about 10% have some type of smart home product, service, or both.

7% Of U.S. Households Have Broadband And OTT But No Pay TV

New data from Parks Associates (www.parksassociates.com) finds global OTT [over-the-top] video service subscription revenues will increase from nearly US$9 billion in 2014 to over $19 billion in 2019.
