A Survey of U.S. Electric Utilities and Consumer-Facing Programs measures the customer engagement and smart grid programs offered by energy utilities. The project identifies the growing role of utilities in the home energy management market. The focus of this research includes variable-rate plans, consumer response, and programs to reduce or shift energy consumption.
