E-HOME 2001: A STUDY OF U.S. INTERNET HOUSEHOLDS

AN INDUSTRY REPORT FROM PARKS ASSOCIATES

By Kurt Scherf, Vice President, Principal Analyst

Publish Date: April 02
Purchase Report Online
SYNOPSIS
Are consumers ready for the transition to an e-home? What services/applications do they desire most? What are the underlying factors impacting consumers' purchase behavior? Who are the likely early adopters of an e-home? To answer these questions, Parks Associates offers E-Home 2001.

"We believe that digital content in the form of video and high-quality audio files will drive certain home networking applications, especially if that content can be aggregated on a platform and sent to multiple devices within the home," said Kurt Scherf, Parks Associates' Vice President, Principal Analyst.

"This year, we expect to see robust home networking solutions emerge in end-user products that will have commercial success in the market."
