Primary Perspectives: E-Enabled Home Security

AN INDUSTRY REPORT FROM PARKS ASSOCIATES

By Kurt Scherf, Vice President, Principal Analyst

Publish Date: June 03
Pages: 78, Figures: 88
SYNOPSIS

From two-way connectivity to remote access to home security systems, this report examines emerging trends in home security services from the consumer perspective using a recent survey of more than 10,500 U.S. Internet households. It examines home security and home management ownership and use and probes consumer interest in emerging home security applications.

“With two-way broadband connections now common in many U.S. households, some very interesting and compelling home management applications can find true commercial value,” said Kurt Scherf, Vice President, Principal Analyst. “With home and personal safety concerns on the rise, traditional home security players – as well as a host of new players in the services, hardware, and software sectors – will find new footing in this market.”
