Digital Entertainment and the Digital Home at CONNECTIONS™

CONNECTIONS™: The Digital Home Conference and Showcase will offer a complete analysis and examination of the Digital Home through a keynote and special session from Intel Corporation. This executive marketing conference will take place May 11-13, 2005, at the Hyatt Regency near the San Francisco Airport in Burlingame, Calif.

“In 1Q 2005, 25% of U.S. households report that downloading video is as appealing as buying or renting videos. Consumer demand is one of the factors driving the need for greater in-home storage capabilities and reflects the importance of multipoint content access and availability to consumers,” said Tricia Parks, president of Parks Associates. “Intel has been a leader in this evolution. As a result of its research and development, industry enabling and continued investment, many benefit from Intel’s perseverance in both understanding and guiding the future of the digital home.”

Kevin Corbett, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Digital Home Group for Intel, will deliver the morning keynote address, The Future of Digital Entertainment, on Thursday, May 12, at 8:30 a.m.

Intel will also host a special session, titled Digital Home Usages, Content, and Technologies for 2005, on Thursday, May 12, at 11:00 a.m. This hour-long session will focus on usage models, related content and key technologies for the Digital Home, featuring content acquisition models, content protection, and a demonstration of new distribution applications. This special session will feature speakers Gary Matos, Market Development Manager, Digital Home Group for Intel, and Brian Tucker, Content Industry Enabling Manager, Digital Home Group for Intel.
