Gatespace signs on as a Platinum Sponsor for
CONNECTIONS™ 2001
CONNECTIONS™ 2001, the premier
conference for home networks and gateways, expanded the gateway expertise
for its Showcase today with the addition of Gatespace, a leading developer
of software platforms for service gateways, as a Platinum Sponsor.
CABA and Parks Associates will co-host CONNECTIONS™ 2001: The
International Home Networking & Gateways Showcase on May 9-11,
2001, at The Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. The conference
will attract upwards of 1,000 attendees and feature top-level speakers who
will discuss the current issues and future outlook for home networks,
gateways, and information appliances. In the CONNECTIONS Showcase area, 80
sponsoring companies will display the most advanced products and services
in their respective industries.
"Gatespace is bringing software solutions to the table that are
making the concept of the multi-service residential gateway a technical
reality," said
Tricia Parks, president of Parks Associates. "At
a conference bringing together multiple players in the RG space together,
Gatespace’s presence is an ideal complement to the CONNECTIONS™
crowd."

Internet – connectivity and accessibility to new and innovative
network-delivered services, whenever and wherever users want them.
Gatespace provides open distributed service platforms for creating,
delivering, and managing these kinds of services in a secure and reliable
fashion across a multitude of networks and devices. Gatespace’s products

providers, network operators, service gateways, and device manufacturers.
This allows consumers to access information and entertainment resources
on-demand over the Internet whether they are in their homes, in their
cars, or elsewhere.
"CONNECTIONS™ 2001 has grown to an event of considerable importance
within the residential gateway industry and a natural focal point for
progressive players to demonstrate their latest developments," said
says Staffan Truvé, CEO of Gatespace. "At this year’s event, we
will take the opportunity to demonstrate our ‘media roaming’ service,
which is an example of an OSGi-based service that can be developed on
Gatespace’s Distributed Service Platform (GDSP)."
