Free Consumer Research on Emerging Technologies Offered at Forum 2001

Parks Associates' 14th Annual Forum Conference to Provide Complimentary Research on Consumers, Home Networks, and Emerging New Home Technologies

At its upcoming conference Forum 2001: Leveraging Digital Opportunities, Parks Associates will present exclusive consumer research to attendees regarding the acquisition of high-tech products and services, including findings from multiple focus groups conducted among key demographic segments. The research, designed specifically for Forum, will include data and analysis on consumers and their purchase intentions regarding entertainment, electronics, home networking, and other related technologies and services, all offered in a special session entitled "Mission Possible: Understanding the Consumer."

"Forum, held on October 1-3 at the Regent Las Vegas, has always been about understanding consumers' needs first, and then leveraging that knowledge into designing and marketing practical applications for the home," said Kurt Scherf, Parks Associates' Vice President of Research. "This year, we're taking our consumer research efforts to the next level by providing free research to every attendee. Our guests will walk away from this show with something else they won't get at any other conference: information about consumer intentions to acquire home systems and services and, in particular, how their plans and perspectives will affect the holiday buying season for electronics. Parks Associates will present its latest consumer findings on Wednesday, October 3. The session will include information from, among other sources, recent focus groups conducted with college-age teenagers; home owners who are married with children; and mature Americans. Each attendee at the session will also receive a summary report of this research.
