IBM's Michael Rhodin to Keynote at Parks Associates' Forum 2001:
Leveraging Digital Opportunities
Michael Rhodin, Vice President of Development
of IBM's Pervasive Computing Division, will deliver the keynote presentation
on the future of digital services at Parks Associates' 14th annual Forum
event, held December 12-14 at the Regent Las Vegas in Nevada. He will open Forum
2001: Leveraging Digital Opportunities, the premier cross-industry
conference on converging technologies and consumer marketing strategies,
with the session Digital
Opportunities: Making our Whole World Change on December 13 at 8:15
a.m.
Mr. Rhodin has worldwide development responsibility across IBM's
far-reaching pervasive computing initiatives to help customers connect
non-traditional computing devices - from mobile phones, PDAs, and Internet
appliances to automobiles and everyday household appliances - to the
Internet. He oversees the development of technologies and solutions that fit
IBM's strategic investments in device software, server software, and
application software.
"We are excited to have Michael Rhodin present at Forum 2001.
The vision that IBM carries for the digital future is significant and, just
as his division name implies, pervasive," says Tricia Parks, President
of Parks Associates. "In this new and uncertain time, businesses and
governments must work together to meet the needs of international markets.
That is the essence of capitalism. We all look forward to Michael's vision
of how internet-enabled devices will keep us more connected than ever
before."
Parks' annual Forum event, now in its fourteenth year, is a
cross-industry conference that provides leaders with the knowledge to
leverage products and service developments by crossing market and channel
boundaries. Attendees represent a variety of manufacturers and service
providers from the home networking, telecommunications, broadband, consumer
electronics, security, energy management, builder, mobile communication, and
semiconductor industries, among others.
