Energy Service Companies, Solutions Providers Take Center Stage at
Forum 2001
Parks Associates' 14th Annual Forum Conference to Showcases Emerging
Residential Technologies Aimed at Residential, Small Business, and Mobile
Applications
Energy management in the residential
and light commercial markets, a heightened concern in 2001 and as energy
deregulation plans take shape, will be the focus of several panel
discussions at Parks Associates' upcoming fall executive conference. Forum
2001: Leveraging Digital Opportunities, to be held at the Regent Las
Vegas from December 12-14, will showcase discussions among leading
executives from companies in both the service provision side of the
equation, as well as those developing solutions to assist in energy
management and controls.
Among the participants expected to participate and discuss controls,
Internet connectivity, and energy management solutions are representatives
from such companies as @Home Security, BeAtHome, DTE Energy Technologies,
emWare, Intelliready, Invensys, Intel, Puget Sound Energy, Salt River
Project, and Xanboo. In addition, Parks Associates' own analysts
will present data and analysis on research conducted for both the
residential and light commercial spaces. In a special one-day workshop on
December 12, Parks' analysts will discuss Leveraging
Digital Opportunities Across Categories: Designing Applications for Today's
Consumer. This workshop provides the latest Parks Associates'
research and analysis in a comprehensive and efficient manner.
"We are so pleased to offer this year's Forum attendees with so much
value for their participation," said
Kurt
Scherf, vice president of research for Parks Associates. "Energy
management and control are key concerns to executives across industries
currently, and we are providing the timely and comprehensive coverage that
these topics require at this year's show."
Attendees at this year's Forum conference will hear speakers
discuss a number of issues, including targeting vertical markets for
communication services, to the deployment of "last-mile" broadband
services to the residence, interactive television applications, technology
trends in Europe, and the challenges and opportunities in marketing
technology solutions. Parks Associates will present complimentary consumer
data, complete with a written analysis to every attendee on Friday, December
14 in a session titled Mission
Possible: Understanding the Consumer. Finally, attendees will have
the opportunity to tour the "dotCOM dreamHOME" on Friday, December
