2009, 16 million U.S. households will enjoy “place-shifted”
television with multiroom DVR configurations. The adoption of such
advanced technologies has transformed the home entertainment
experience, redefining entertainment platforms and services as
well as the business models for content delivery.
Fall Focus 2005 examined the tools,
technologies, and services making personal and commercial
multimedia content more accessible and functional for end users.
In addition, this event addressed the
changing consumer habits for their entertainment that result from
expanded Internet capabilities and from the diffusion of available
digital entertainment products and their corollary services.
