Pierre François Dubois started as an R&D engineer working on Intelligent Networks and Network Operations. He then held different management positions inside the Orange Group, mostly in sales and marketing. He was Marketing Director for Triple Play offers on ADSL for Orange France between 2006 and 2008. He is now responsible, for the France Telecom Group, of the strategy and development of products related to very high broadband and the digital home.

Ronald joined ActiveVideo Networks in 2009 following the company’s acquisition of Avinity Systems, a European developer of cloud-based interactive television solutions. As CEO and co-founder of Avinity, Ronald led a team that pioneered innovative approaches to providing a common interactive experience across all European CE devices, from legacy digital set-top boxes to CI+ enabled TVs. Prior to co-founding Avinity Systems, Ronald was CTO and co-founder of No Wires Needed, an early WiFi pioneer that was acquired by Intersil in 2000. Ronald continued to manage development teams for the company following that acquisition and subsequent mergers with GlobespanVirata and Conexant Systems. Ronald has made key contributions to several IEEE 802.11 standards.

Ronald earned an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Twente in Enchede, The Netherlands. He is the holder of several patents.

Richard Bullwinkle joined Rovi Corporation, formerly Macrovision Solutions Corporation, in January 2007 after the company acquired Mediabolic, where he had served as vice president of Products and chief evangelist. Since that time, Richard has served as chief evangelist responsible for corporate strategy. In his role, Richard helps define the direction of Rovi’s products and technology solutions. He represents the company at numerous industry events to gather market perspectives and understand trends that have an impact on the company’s customers and the end consumer in order to provide recommendations to the senior team. He also works to establish standards and lead the discussions to promote a better consumer experience throughout the CE industry.

With roles at Mediabolic, Rio Audio, and TiVo, Richard is well known in consumer electronics and entertainment industries.

As vice president of products and chief evangelist at Mediabolic, Richard helped pioneer the connected home strategy of connecting entertainment media devices. As a senior member of Rio Audio's product marketing team, Richard played an instrumental part in the creation of some of the most popular MP3 players in the US. At TiVo, Richard was the company’s chief evangelist and a senior member of TiVo's product marketing team. He helped create and develop the TiVo products and was behind the campaign to make the TiVo product a household name.

Richard graduated from Rollins College in Florida with degrees in English and Music.

Wim has an extensive experience spanning over 15 years in Product Management and Business Development in the content security and digital television domain. Wim has developed strong expertise in the IPTV and PayTV areas providing consulting services for the like of Logica. Prior to joining Civolution, Wim held senior positions at Irdeto and more recently Philips where he managed the Product Management teams.

After a engineer degree in electrical engineering from Grenoble Institute of Technology (INPG), Philippe joined Orange Labs in 2000 in the mobile services department where he was leading the mobile Java effort. In 2004, he joined the Home business unit in charge of fixed devices & Livebox standard strategy. At the same time, Philippe participated to the creation of the HGI in 2004, and he is chair of business group & board member. He has been involved in the development of HGI business requirements for gateway & home network together with major operators in Europe and Japan. Since 2007, he has been appointed as head the Broadband & Home Network standard team within Orange Strategy Group looking at all broadband standard development. Through its work, Philippe has been involved in the definition of various home network standards including HGI, DECT CAT-iq, UPnP… His primary interest is business development of broadband services through standards.

Keith has over 25 year experience in the Security Industry, having worked with blue-chip organizations such as Racal & Chubb. He joined Intamac in 2007 from Visonic UK Limited, where he had been the Managing Director for 11 years. In this role, Keith was responsible for creation and implementation of key business strategy for the UK, and was a core member of the team which took Visonic to IPO. He was the driving force in successfully establishing the business as a recognised force in the UK wireless home security market, and played an instrumental role in winning new corporate partner accounts, including BT and Bell. Keith’s interests include Classical music, cycling & running, and he is in the process of converting a 17th Century Barn.

Jon Finegold is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Thinking Screen Media (formerly Frame Media). In his role as COO, he helps guide the the strategic direction of the company and its flagship product, FrameChannel. He leads the execution for all product development, overseeing the engineering team and working closely with partners on delivering a favorable content experience tying the FrameChannel content delivery service to a variety of partner devices from connected TVs to media players and set-top boxes to photo frames and information appliances. Mr. Finegold is in an entrepreneur with a passion for new technologies, particularly technologies that help connect people. Prior to co-founding Thinking Screen Media, he had leadership roles with a variety of start-ups including uLocate Communications, Taral Networks and OpenAir and began his careers as an engineer with Newsbank and Brooktrout Technologies. Mr. Finegold holds a Masters Degree from M.I.T. and a B.S. in mathematics from Allegheny College.

Matthew Huntington is Vice President, Product Marketing for OpenTV Corp. (OPTV - NASDAQ). Mr. Huntington is responsible for managing OpenTV's product strategy, ensuring that the company brings the right products to market at the right time, which both match customer requirements and support OpenTV’s long-term vision to power media experiences. He is based in London and reports to Tracy Geist, Senior Vice President, Business Development.

Mr. Huntington has had a distinguished career in both digital television and new media industries. He has more than 13 years of experience in developing solutions, services and products for digital and interactive television, starting with video-on-demand trials in the early ‘90s. Mr. Huntington joined OpenTV directly from Oracle, where he worked with their Interactive Services division as a director of product development.

A popular cable, satellite and technology speaker, Mr. Huntington has the ability to clearly articulate the essence of complex technical issues to general and business audiences. He has written and spoken extensively on interactive television technology and the ability of OpenTV to offer a suite of compelling products and services to network operators throughout the world.

Art Lancaster co-founded Affinegy in March 2003 and has served as CTO since, where he is responsible for technology strategy and product development. Affinegy provides unique software solutions that have been architected to easily connect, secure and manage Digital Lifestyle Networks. Spanning – for the first time – both emerging devices and previously installed, networking gear in the consumer home. Affinegy software has been deployed by some of the world’s largest broadband service providers, who use our solutions to deliver “it just works” Digital Lifestyle experiences to their end customers. Prior to Affinegy Art was director of strategy and business development for Motorola's Streamaster business where Art established strategies leading to the world's most advanced interactive broadband gateway system. He has a BSEE, cum laude, from the University of Missouri, an MSEE from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from the University of Texas.

Christer Larsson has over 15 years of experience in business development and advanced systems design for high-tech companies with experience from the automotive, airline and telecom industries working for such companies as Volvo IT, Carmen Systems and Ericsson.

Christer has been involved in the development of the OSGi technology since 1998, taking part in the design of Ericsson's e-box concept which influenced the first releases of the OSGi specification to a large degree. He is currently the CEO of Makewave (formerly Gatespace Telematics) and the VP EMEA of the OSGi Alliance. Christer is also deeply involved in the open source OSGi project Knopflerfish.

Wouter Leibbrandt is Senior Director of NXP Research where he manages the Advanced Systems Lab which investigates new application concepts that put new requirements to existing and new NXP semiconductors products and technologies. Key theme in the program is the connected consumer. New drivers of the program are society trends like sustainability and security/privacy.

Before taking up his present position in Philips Semiconductors, later NXP, in 2006, Wouter built up broad knowledge of systems aspects of electronics products in Philips Research, first as research scientist and later as manager of various groups and labs, including Philips Research in Shanghai, China. He holds a PhD in physics from Utrecht University.

Rob Lewis is CEO and co-founder of Omnifone, the leading independent provider of unlimited music services globally. Rob is a thought leader on unlimited music services and has recently presented at events including MIDEM, Mobile World Congress, Music Matters, Mobile Entertainment Market, International Music Industry Week and Digital Hollywood.

As CEO, Rob secured the first international licensing for unlimited music services with all four major music labels and leading independents in 2007. Rob is a 2009 Ernst & Young UK Entrepreneur of the Year and the PwC UK Technology, Innovation & Growth Awards 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year. He previously founded Business & Technology Magazine (sold to Dennis Publishing) and along with Omnifone co-founders Phil Sant and Mark Knight, founded the successful internet software developer Cromwell Media (sold to InterX for £850m in 2000). He was also the founder and CEO of Silicon.com (later sold to CNET Networks) and its sister companies, Paris-based Silicon.fr and Munich-based Silicon.de.

Trond Neergaard is a world-class expert in broadband value added services, software and distribution in the Service Provider and Technology market from the inception of software as a service era. Trond is the Founder and Managing Partner at Cloudberry Associates and is a Member of the Board of Directors at CTAM Europe.

Cloudberry Associates is a business, marketing and strategy consultancy focusing on Telecom (Cable and Telco), Vendors/ISV and Investors/VC, specializing in Value Added Services (VAS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) to subscribers With hands-on experience and knowledge of delivering business value, combined with a pragmatic and straightforward approach really making the difference.

Most recently he held the position of Vice-President of Worldwide Sales, GM EMEA at Radialpoint and prior to that as Vice-President of the ISP business at F-Secure Corporation where he lead all aspects of F-Secure’s global ISP business. He was on the executive teams at both companies.

With more than 10 years of industry experience, Patrik Nilsson has extensive experience in the mobile services market. In his role as head of business development for Adobe Mobile & Devices in the EMEA region, Nilsson is responsible for strategic partnerships and other new business generation. Earlier, Nilsson was in charge of the Telco practice in EMEA for Adobe. Before joining Adobe in 2005 as part of the acquisition of Macromedia, Nilsson was the chief operating officer and general manager of mobile operator Mobitel. Earlier, he was the vice president of End2End, overseeing sales and business development for global accounts. Prior to End2End, Nilsson was a vice president at Aspiro. Nilsson is an experienced speaker, having presented at numerous company events. Nilsson has an MBA from the International School of Business and Management, Lund University, Sweden. In addition, his post-graduate courses have included Strategy from the London Business School and Corporate Governance from EFL, Sweden.

Paolo Pastorino holds a degree in Physics (M.S.) from the University of Torino, Italy, and a Master in Telecommunications and Information Technology from COREP/SSGRR, Italy.

Since May 2009 he is Business Development and Marketing Manager at Loquendo working on new challenges for the even wider adoption of voice technologies (synthesis, recognition, etc) across the telco, Consumer Electronics and IT sectors. From July 2008 and April 2009 he steered key areas of the Telecom Italia Group Technology Plan development such as the Broadband Home, Customer Centric Services and Wired Access.

He was instrumental in the launch of the Home Gateway Initiative (HGI) addressing standardization and development issues of broadband home networks, devices and services and he covered at the HGI between 2005 and 2008 the challenging role of Chief Technology Officer and Chief Business Officer.

In 1994 he joined Telecom Italia R&D dept. (formerly known as CSELT, then Telecom Italia Lab) working on the design of optoelectronic devices and then of broadband access network architectures and advanced residential/SOHO broadband networking and service solutions.

He managed national and international projects in the broadband home networking domain and he is speaker to several international conferences.

Christopher has a wealth of experience and has been with Irdeto for over eight years. He has been part of the Irdeto team working on its Home Networking Offerings.

Peter Smyth is a 20yr veteran of the business. Most recently he held the position of VP Business Development for Ceva Inc.'s (Nasdaq: CEVA) Strategic Accounts and Wireline Communications Divisions, with worldwide responsibility for division revenues and product marketing, including Ceva's high-speed Wireline interface technologies. Over a career spanning 10 years at Ceva (previously Parthus Inc.), Peter also held positions as VP Product Marketing and VP Sales. Prior to working for Ceva in Ireland, he was Europe Manager for Taiwan-based Microtek International (DSD) based in Munich, Germany, and prior to that, he was Western Region Sales Manager for Microtek's operation in the United States, based in Portland, OR. Peter also held roles as Product Marketing Engineer and later as UK Sales Manager for Irish firm Ashling Microsystems, based in London. Out of college Peter was a Control Systems Design Engineer for Hyster Inc. Peter has a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering from Dublin City University, 1985.

Geof Todd has been at NDS for almost 10 years and is a Director of Sales & New Business Initiatives. Geof has worked in the media and technology industries for over 30 years, specialising in the area of Digital Media and navigating the significant opportunities enabled by the transition from Analogue to Digital and Discrete to Converged businesses. He has experience in all international markets and is a graduate of St. Luke’s, Exeter.

Frederic Van Durme brings 10 years experience in Telecommunications and DSL technology. He joined Thomson in 2001 and currently heads up Product Management and Strategy for xDSL and Cable Broadband Gateways. Before that, he was worldwide Business Development Manager for Business Gateways and Product & Business Manager for Residential Gateways. He graduated in 1997 as Commercial Engineer and holds an MBA from the University of Antwerp (Belgium). He worked for four years at Barco Systems in various worldwide functions such as Sales and Marketing and Product Management for Displays and System Integration. In 2000, he moved to a start up company active in GPRS, GSM and Home Network Technologies, before joining Thomson.

Ian joined ProVision in 2008 and heads up all business development, including all sales and marketing of the AXAR 1000 HD WiFi CE Product.

Ian has over 20 years experience in CEO and senior executive sales, marketing and business development positions for both start-up and large corporate consumer electronics, semiconductors and software companies in Europe and the U.S.A. This includes with Alcatel, as Strategic Business Development Director and as Director of Sales & Marketing for Westell ‘s European Operation where he was responsible for business development of both ADSL CPE and Enterprise VoIP product lines.

For eight years he was the CEO, Founder and owner of DIVA Communications Technology Ltd, a communications software licensing and design services company that he ran until its acquisition by Alcatel in 1999; CEO of MND Semiconductors in Paris, France, an H.264 AVC Video Codec company, for which he arranged an M&A with DxO Labs in 2007; Technical Director for MIPS Technologies in Europe and European Marketing Manager for Rockwell’s modem products.

As an electronics engineer, specialising in Signal Processing for HF Communication systems, Ian spent eight years at Marconi Space & Defence Systems Ltd and holds MSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Portsmouth.

Stuart Sikes is the president of Parks Associates and is responsible for providing Parks Associates’ clients with a business relationship that complements their strategic marketing activities.

Stuart has served technology companies for over twenty years, designing technical service, software, and hardware solutions for companies ranging from global semiconductor manufacturers to one of the nation’s largest airlines. In his positions with companies including AT&T, NCR, OpenConnect Systems, and Intelligraphics, Stuart’s roles have included sales, product marketing, marketing communications, and executive management.

Stuart and the Parks Associates’ team have worked closely with the world’s leading semiconductor, software, telecom equipment, and entertainment companies, assisting these companies with their understanding of consumer adoption of new technologies.

Stuart holds an MBA from SMU with a concentration in strategic marketing and a BA in economics from Vanderbilt University.

Kurt Scherf studies developments in home networks, residential gateways, digital entertainment, technology development in the housing market, and residential and building management and controls. Kurt is the sole author or contributing author/analyst to more than 60 research reports and studies produced by Parks Associates since 1998.

Kurt joined Parks Associates following a career in political research and multi-tenant dwelling management. He earned his BA from The University of Iowa.
